I would like to re-assure you that the information we collect is being treated respecting your privacy and no information or your emails are being shared nor sold to third parties. The information that we collect is used purely to improve services, improve website usability and improve our communication to you, dear reader, with the newest updates, offers and events.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Information You Voluntarily Submit to the Website: We may collect personal information from you such as your name or e-mail address. For example, you may voluntarily submit personal information to Muslim Housewife by leaving a comment, subscribing to a newsletter, or submitting a contact form. In addition, we use third-party services for creating student accounts as you will find it described bellow.

Cookies: If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Contact Forms: To contact Muslim Housewife for the purposes of evaluating or engaging our services or to answer your questions, we utilise numerous forms throughout our site. Required information on the form includes (I) name, and (II) e-mail address. The provision of this information is mandatory in order to receive a response from Muslim Housewife. The provision of the remaining information requested on the registration form is optional.

Online Purchases: When you purchase a product from Muslim Housewife, we utilise a third-party online shopping system, which is described more fully below. To process your payment, certain standard required information includes address and credit card information. Transactions are secured via SSL encryption and credit card details will never be e-mailed.

Who we share your data with

Tracking: Muslim Housewife uses various marketing tools that help us create a better user experience for people visiting muslimhousewife.com. These tools allow us to look at aggregated data such as scrolling patterns, clicks, and allow us to run tests to determine which pages result in the best actions. However, your personally identifiable information is not used by any of these tools. We use the following third-party service providers for tracking:

Remarketing: Muslim Housewife uses remarketing tracking cookies and conversion pixels from vendors such as Google and Facebook to present special offers to you for our products or services over the Google Content Network and via social networks. This means you may see an ad for one of our products or services as a result of visiting our website. In addition, Muslim Houseiwfe uses custom audiences based on e-mails of subscribers and customers. This allows us to present special offers for our products and services to you via Facebook.  However, your personally identifiable information is not used by any remarketing service other than to present you special offers from us. Newsletters: Muslim Housewife uses Active Campaign as its e-mail service provider. Active Campaign collects contact information, distributes our newsletter, and tracks actions you take that assist us in measuring the performance of the website and newsletters.

Our newsletters contain tracking pixels. This pixel is embedded in e-mails and allows us an analysis of the success of our newsletters. Because of these tracking pixels, we may see if and when you open an e-mail and which links within the e-mail you click. This behavior is not passed to third-parties. All data submitted at the time of subscription to our newsletter is stored on Active Campaign’s servers. At any time, you may be removed from our newsletter list by clicking on the unsubscribe button provided in each e-mail.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
