As salamu aleikum, Beautiful 🙂  It has been nearly two weeks since Ramadhan ended and after all Eid celebrations it’s time to settle down into usual routines and earlier dinner times. I don’t know how about you, but I always feel somewhat sad AND happy that Ramadhan is over. Sad, because I love the peacefulness of the month, but glad that the stress of making dinner on time is over (I usually tend to linger +/- 10 minutes, ehem).

Now the biggest question in everyone’s mind is how to upkeep the Ramadhan spirit and spiritual achievements throughout the year. Wouldn’t it be nice to sail through the day gracefully, without loosing your temper or wasting your time on the activities that have no beneficial value?

If you are a mum with little kids or a woman with crazy schedule you know that’s going to be a tough call. You felt that already during Ramadhan.

So what’s the solution?

Take it easy. I know you want to have it all and that’s OK, but I’m nearly sure that you have had previous experiences of doing too much at the same time and crashing from tiredness, anxiety and stress.

Also, there will be no pleasure in keeping up the high spirits, if you will be seconds from exhaustion.

Think what’s possible for you and in your situation.

Maybe you can fast on sunnah days?

Maybe you can read certain amount of Quran every day/week?

Maybe you can make sure you donate every month?

Maybe you can keep away from wasteful talking/activities and use this time in more useful way?

Maybe you can keep doing dhikr throughout the day? (See the previous post on that)

Do SOMETHING!!

Do not fall in this mentality of ‘I don’t have time, so I do nothing at all’.

You don’t know how your year will be, maybe after busy summer holidays, you will have more time on your hands.

Don’t feel guilty if you only can do a little. Do that and, when you can, add some more!

I hope you found this blog post useful 🙂 If so, please share with other busy wives and wives-to-be 🙂 Barak Allah feeki.
